Description

Dare is an Android game app that dares you to jump, with your phone in hand, from various heights. The game uses your Android phone's accelerometer to detect when the phone is free-falling.

There are four increasingly dangerous levels to choose from and up to 4 people can play each game.

At the start of the game you select a level of difficulty. The choices are "Wimp", "Daring", "Fearless" and "Dare Devil". The last two levels ("Fearless and Dare Devil) are only available in the Pro Version of Dare.

Playing the "Wimp" level only requires you to drop from a height of 1 foot.

The next level, "Daring" requires a leap from 4 feet. If you choose "Fearless", the drop must be at least 9 feet. Finally, "DareDevil" leaps must be from at least 16 feet.

There are four rounds to a game. In the first round your velocity while falling only has to be 25% of the Max Velocity you would achieve at 1G.

For instance, if you were to fall from a 9 foot drop (as required by the "Fearless Level"), you would hit the ground at 16MPH. But in the first round of the "Fearless" level your velocity only has to 25 percent of that, or 4MPH.

In the second round you need to fall at least 50% of the Max Velocity of 1G. For the third round, the minimum is 75% of the Max Velocity of 1G.

Lastly, for the fourth round you need to achieve and maintain just a little under of the Max Velocity of 1G (you would have to be in a vaccum to achieve of the Max Velocity of 1G).

The levels of difficulty are listed below, along with the max speed when you hit the ground.

Wimp - Drop: 1FOOT - Max Velocity: 1.3MPH

Daring - Drop: 4FEET - Max Velocity: 10MPH

Fearless - Drop: 9FEET - Max Velocity: 12MPH (PRO VERSION)

Dare Devil - Drop: 16FEET - Max Velocity: 21MPH(PRO VERSION)
