Description

With imo instant messenger, it’s easy to stay in touch with friends on your existing IM accounts on Facebook Chat, Google Talk, Skype, MSN, ICQ/AIM, Yahoo, Jabber, and Myspace.

With imo beta, users can preview and try new and experimental IM features. However, the beta app is less stable than the official imo instant messenger app. For the latest stable version, download our official app at https://market.android.com/details?id=com.imo.android.imoim.

INTERNET: connect to imo servers
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: react to network changes so we can reconnect
VIBRATE: for notifications
RECORD_AUDIO: for voice IMs and audio calls
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: auto start on boot
INSTALL_SHORTCUT: create home screen shortcuts
WAKE_LOCK: very short term partial cpu lock to make sure messages are sent and received while phone is sleeping
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: for caching pictures
GET_ACCOUNTS: to prefill your email address during registration for the IMO Network
READ_CONTACTS: to read phone-book contacts; only used when you choose to invite friends
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: keep wifi awake while sending messages
RECEIVE_SMS: to verify your phone number we send one SMS with a code which gets automatically checked; we only use this permission to receive one SMS during the imo network registration step
