What's new in this version (2.0):
Minor changes in GUI
Currently I am struggling with Google Translate API, since recently Google made it paid (per millions on characters translated)
Please keep using this app. I will issue next version soon along with new Google Translate API (fully functional).
Additional changes concern ad service (changed to AirPush).
Android Translator is an application which will help you get along in every situation. For example, when you're abroad and can't get along in foreign language, just launch this application, type text to see and hear how it sounds in other language!
Application supports Google Translate API (so, if translation is poor, blame Google, not me :-))
Instead of giving this application low rate, please let me know about the issues you have found so I can fix them! Please visit (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Android-Translator/291237567554263). Thanks!

Text-To-Speech depends on 3rd party software installed on your phone. Standard availability for TTS is English, Spanish, German, French... You should install additional language packs for TTS to hear the translated text in less popular languages.
You are right. Ad covers too much (i.e. editbox) in medium-size screens. Will be fixed in next release.
