Not everyone can afford good software. But at the end of the day, this software really is good, and learning a new language is more important than money. If you want to learn Japanese, please use this software to teach yourself how to write kana.
*WriteKana, but for poor people. Your ability to learn kana quickly and effectively has not been reduced in this version, only your option to change the character styles and theme colors. All other functionality - including the Working Set feature and mastery-tracking, sound, and hardware sensitivity controls - has been retained. Great learning tool for kana. You can adjust the shake sensitivity in settings. Setting it to 'car' or 'plane' works well.

It erases half way through writing the character and makes this great idea for drilling app frustrating. Definitely not worth buying yet... Droidx

Fairly well done, its free so expect some cut backs. Thanks to the developer for it, could use some more work but is still quite good anyway.

Odd interface and looks amateur. Audio samples are awful & silly messages cause errors. Get OBENKYO much, much better!

New update makes it so I can't change the backgrounds color or the ink color or the writing style. The last version allowed that. Needs to be fixed.

This is what I've been looking for. My only wish is that there was some sort of explanation for the controls...it took a little bit to figure it out.
