Backgammon is a game of skill and strategy and one of the world's classic parlour games, played for recreation and as a gambling game. Like Mahjong, this is a game that is played in social groups in coffee houses and bars. Historically variants of this game are believed to have originated in Egypt over 3000 years ago, but was picked up by the Romans and then later to India. It also spread to east Asia, but was then largely replaced by Xiangqi (Chinese chess). It is now very popular in the west.

Cheats when it has to. I rarely win the opening roll and it will often roll doubles when it needs one. I, on the other hand, get more 2 - 1 rolls.

Excellent game. It DOESN'T cheat, I beat it most times on hard. Can't see a 'resign' option anywhere.

If you think this cheats you're a moron. Excellent game but he is useless with the doubling cube, and he bears off like a child. Well worth the fee.

Avid Backgammon player and love this app! Took a little getting used to, but can't imagine playing any other way. Vibrant.

You have to be totally bored to play this game. Your will always win at the first two levels. At the highest level the AI will role multiple doubles.

Loved the free version so much I gladly bought the full. Wish there was an even harder cpu setting though.
